.. by a staff, litterally millimetres from his eye
All happened yesterday, i was at my nans with B and her neighbour had got a new dog (i didnt know) Barney was in the garden which is shared with 5 other flats and i was out there with him as neighbours have small kids and B can accidently knock them over because of his size so i like to keep a close eye. Then neighbour came in with a small staff, B and staff greeted each other very friendly, no growling or signs of agression from the staff at all so B wandered back off indoors and i stayed outside talking to neighbour who had put the staff in his flat. Found out staff is 2 and being rehomed so guy took him on. As neighbour went in the staff bolted out and into my nans flat and there was alot of growling by the time i got there B had run into my nans room to hide and owner had staff back under control and apologised.
B was a bit clingy after (hes the wimpiest dog i know
) and i noticed some blood by his eye and found a punchure wound right by his eye and a small scratch roughly where the other tooth should have gone in if it was a bite. Its fairly deep so i cleaned it with some saline water and its scabbed over ok and no heat or anything this morning and B is his normally self so im not too worried about it but will keep an eye on it. He was fine on his walk too so its not made him nervous of other dogs.
I feel terrible that B was attacked in what is his second home (nan looks after him regularly and he lived there while i was ill)
Is there anything i should be watching out for with the bite?? Or is the wash with saline water enough?? Ta in advance i think i just needed to get that off my chest!
