In October I will be moving my boy to a new field and stable but I need to introduce him gradually to the new paddock as he has had laminitis in the past.
His new location is a 5 min walk away so it is no problem to walk him over for periods of time but what is the best/safest way of doing this?
I was thinking of fencing a small area off in the new field and start by putting him in there to graze for perhaps half an hour 4 times a week and increase it in time each week.
Or is it better to do something else?
Unfortunately I cannot put sheep in to eat it off as the hedge is not up to keeping them in, but I can use elec fence with him.
