HELP!! calling all doggy experts!!

My 10 month old lab has suddenly started drewling (sp) alot!
This has only started this evening but is really unusual for him and there is loads of it. If he lays down he ends up in his own little puddle!
Any ideas what this could be? I have checked in his mouth and there is nothing obvious.

Maybe give your vet a ring? They should advise over the phone for free

Has he swallowed or chewed anything recently as a object lodged somewhere can cause saliva

Ditto the above.please phone your vet, could be something he has eaten as suggested or a symptom of bloat, as this can start via drooling, is he trying to be sick, or any other symptoms so far? how long has he been doing this? is he prone to chewing things around the house? or could he have swallowed something toxic/chemicals?

He has been fine all day at the yard with me and there is nothing there he can get at. Ive seen him go to the loo and he is acting pretty normal.
it started when we came in off the yard about 5 ish.
Hes been out in the cold for the last few days, may be a silly thing to say but didnt know if coming into a house with the heating on full blast would then send him a little wierd.
i just cant think of anything!

Going from warm environment to cold can cause a dog to start limping, but not drooling. The most likely cause for a dog that doesn't normally drool to start doing it excessively is pain from a foreign object getting stuck somewhere in the mouth, poisoning or bloat, as I understand it.

I know I'm probably a over-worrying pet owner, but I wouldn't take any chances.

Flyn started drooling just the other week - very unusual.

It turns out he had an abcess in this throat which burst out under his tongue.

I had searched and searched to find something in his mouth but it wasn't until his mouth was full of puss that I realised what it was - a course of anti b's and he was fine in no time.

Good luck - I hope it is something just as simple.
