Help cheer me up please.

I hope this thread is cheering you up - its making me laugh :D

Pogface that is so funny :D reminds me of my son when he was little and used to put underpants over his trousers and on his head pretending to be an olympian

Slightly confused, I feel for your horse, I stood up at the wrong time and had a vulture fly smack into my face at a bird demo at Warwick Castle much to the amusement of 100 or so people.

It was my brother telling me about my neice that made me laugh yesterday though as she was explaining to him that an octopus has suckers and feels with its eight testicles :D

Wish you weren't having to go through this but as we say there's nowt as tough as horsey folk!

I hope this thread is giving you a well deserved chuckle. I don't have any funny stories to tell but didn't want to read and run.

My son has recently finished his last lot of chemo so I have some inkling of what you are going through.

Stay strong and have that chuckle.....laughter really is the best medicine! X

Niddlynoo, so sorry to hear you're not well, a friend at work was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma last year & the Chemo has been awful for her, really hope you feel better soon :)

I have a little line that might cheer you up - it certainly made me laugh.

The other day my little girl (who's 2 now & already a little comedian!) asked Nanny to put the TV on - Nan replied 'what's the magic word?' to which Isla responded (with a flamboyant wave of her arm) 'Abracadabra'! Well it IS a magic word isn't it...!

Massive 'vibes' for a speedy recovery :)

PS Pogface - your story made me cry with laughter, brilliant! :D

Phone call last week....

Your cob is on my croquet lawn and the highland is drinking from the oriental Lilly pond....

Oops, cob had itched and popped the gate open....

Are you up near Balmoral or the Sandringham Estate?! Did the lady sound very posh? :D

NN there's a joke thread at the top in Soapbox I think it is, some oldies but goodies in there, courtesy of Alec and others :). Sorry you're undergoing such tough treatment, I hope the drugs start helping soon and you start to feel a bit better.

Sorry to hear what you are going through and lots of vibes for a speedy recovery! :)

I was in hospital two years ago now with meningitis and a brain infection so my brain/memory was a bit muddled so I was quite entertaining apparently!
When my aunt came to visit I asked her when she had got back from America (she had only been to the cafe ..) and then told the nurses she had done something very very naughty and had been thrown out of America and told she could never go back but I couldn't say what as it was top secret ;) and then had an almost panic attack telling my mum I'd lost my leg bone in the bed and I couldn't find it anywhere then suddenly grabbed my leg sighed and said found it :p

I can't remember any of that luckily but my family have great fun telling everyone  hope it cheers you up a bit :)

Along with a bunch of good wishes, I offer the Darwin Awards website for a good chuckle, and a link to my favourite story, Lawn Chair Larry http://darwinawards.com/stupid/stupid1998-11.html.

It's the thought of a pilot looking out of his aeroplane window and seeing a bloke in a comfy chair that makes me snort with laughter.

I really can't beat the story about the disposable pants on the head though.

Hi, sorry to hear that you are going through such a rough patch at the moment, this might give you a giggle! This morning I was quietly going about my usual stable chores, poo picking, filling hay nets etc, I then have to walk across a really muddy area to fill water buckets from the trough, gingerly walking back one foot got stuck in the mud, I went flying, water buckets flipped up and came back down over me! My first reaction was to look up and see if anyone had seen me and sure enough a white van man was stood at the gate chocking back his laughter waiting to ask directions! I looked like a mud monster with a glowing red face! I do hope to get better soon, take care and keep your chin up:) x

No funny things! Will find some for you :D

Loving the pants and Highlands posts :D :D Made me snort they did :D

Hang on in there m'duck. All will come right and you'll be back on the horse before you know it :D. I had six months off due to a compression fracture at L2. When I got back on it was like I'd never been away; it will be the same for you :D
