Hi, I am a house/horse/pet sitter, I do yard work, exercising, dog walking etc. I'm trying to choose a business name to use for a Facebook page and advertising and stuff. I'm struggling to think of something that displays the variety of stuff that I do as opposed to just horses. I don't know whether to include my own name in the business name? Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Thanks Louise

Thanks for all your suggestions. Think I'm going to go with 'prestige horse and pet care' I'm planning on (in the hopefully not too distant future!) taking on a little part/full livery yard and would like to be able to use the name for that aswell. E.g. Prestige livery. What do we think?

I prefer Hairy Poppins. I love a pun and it also describes what you do perfectly. The chances are if you take on a yard it will already have a name that everybody in the area uses so a new name won't necessarily catch on.

I would assume you were expensive using Prestige in your name

Oh okay, hadn't thought of it like that. To me it displays quality and high standard. I think it would transfer well to a yard that only provided part/full livery where I would be providing more of a service than just a d.i.y yard.
Certainly something to take into consideration.

Somebody already uses hairy poppins. But that is a good point re yard name

Given it will be a fairly local business, as long as it's not too close to you I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem? You could always call it Hairy Poppins Pet Nanny or something like that to differentiate.

Or Nannymals?
