At the moment I have 2 horses, I bought my second one in December 09 but there was no space at the yard I keep my first one at so I had to put the new one in a new yard. Now a space has come up at the old yard, and I'm considering if I should take it. I don't have the option of moving the old horse to the new yard, so it is a decision between moving the new one or staying put at 2 yards.

The old yard has: 2 schools, (1 x 20x60, 1 x 35x35). Set up in a courtyard style so looks quite attractive and a very quiet yard. Free trailer parking with ample space. No driveway, drive straight in off the road. Short gallop track (on a surface). Hacking requires 2 mins roadwork, simply down a bridleway and crossing a road with a horse traffic light. Limited turnout, about 3-4 hours a day. BHSII on site does lessons.

The new yard: 2 schools (both 20x40) but re-doing one to make it bigger. At the mo loads of diggers etc around which are really disturbing my horse and we can't use 1 of the schools. The diggers will be around for a long time as other things are being tended to. 10 mins road work to hacking down quite a dangerous country lane where cars often travel at 60mph. Driveway pretty bad, a long driveway to get into which my little car doesn't like. Not really anywhere to park trailer though not a probelm as it's at old yard. A few cross country jumps but nothing that exciting. Next to one of the busiest motorways in the country, it's never quiet. Literally 24hr traffic noise. American barn style so not as open as old yard. But all day turnout is possible. BHSAI does lessons here.

I don't know which to choose! At the moment it's so much hassle and I'd sort of like to have them at the same place but new horse is settled at new yard now so don't want to un-settle him again.

From reading your post, it sounds like you prefer the old yard
