I just got my new combination bit in the mail, but when I went to put it on my bridle I don't know how to properly set it up. Help!! I hope this picture works, I have added letters to aide in explanation of what part of the bridle goes where. I believe that I need to add a curb chain or something of that type to it. How it is set up now, doesn't work as the noseband sits way up, and the curb rein (bottom one) has no effect what so ever.... This is a european bit (i am in Canada) so i need your help. Do I need a double bridle for this bit? Please help me!!!

erm, what?! the cheekpieces surely go on the top ring, A, and the other two, B and D, are for reins.
tbh if you aren't sure, i'd call whoever sold it to you, or send it back... don't risk using it unless it's correct, cos it looks as if it could stop a train!

The reins go on c and d, if they were on b they would be above the mouthpiece giving very little action on the actual bit!

Sorry,

I am just going to sit back and watch and learn on this one. I think I'd have to have it in my hands to work that one out.

Actually just wanted to say "Hi" and to be nosey and ask whereabouts you are?
