help completely new to showing

i am thinking about entering a local show. It would be ridden and in hand m and m classes i would be doing. i know i have to get a hacking/tweed jacket but what colour, what colour tie do i wear? things like that. Also wear s best to get a jacket from. i don't want to spend to much on one as it is only a couple of shows i will be doing. any advice is greatly appreciated thanks.

green or brown tweed is best if you are going out to buy one.Tie should match the overcheck in your jacket or pick out a nice colour from the weave. Black or white ties are a no, no and you want a nice bright overall picture so navy isnt wonderful unless you are trying to tone something down.

thank you! also for showing in hand do i need a showing bit or do i just show i my normal riding bit if i do need a showing bit what would you recommend, shes not a strong horse. and do i keep my reins on or do i need a leather lead rope

As the horse is of ridden age you can use thier ridden bridle with either snaffle, Pelham or double bits. Reins with a ridden bridle
