hello again,
its about my CV again,
i am writing up my work exp atm, but before including them in do i have to ring up and ask for permission? or is that only if i am using them as a refrence?
thanks :)

If it is the last thing on your CV and someone may want a reference from them, I would check if they are happy to give one. If there is something more recent and you will provide a reference with respect of that more recent job, then I wouldn't bother. That is just me though - others may have different opinions.

Good luck :)

There is no need to ask permission to use the name of the place where you gained your work experience. However, as already mentioned, you would need to ask them if they are prepared to give you a reference if you decide to use them as a referee.

Remember to keep your CV to no more than 2 x A4 pages.

If its for references then you should check with them. Otherwise I wouldn't think you'd have to ask your not putting down their contact information.

If you need some help and advice with your CV, I'd recommend going on to any universities careers service website. Most unis will have lots of information and advice.

Hope this helps
