I have just bought a 4 years old 17hh Oldenburg gelding.
He was being fed a small amount of fast fiber twice a day. He looks quite thin and needs to really fill out.
I have bought top spec balancer to introduce to him, spoke to Allen and Page they said the fast fiber is of no use.
He will be in light work over the winter , as needs to mature.
Any ideas what I can feed him, I dont want to blow his brains or go OTT on concentrates and give him Ulcers etc
I have never had a youngster before so this is new to me. He stabled at night with ab lib haylage and out in day most days depending on how bad weather gets etc.
Any help is appreciated
