Help flies attacking mare

My friends poor mare has been attacked by flies and they have come up with massive welts. She just doesn't know what to do to prevent them from getting worse as they are weeping now and to stop the flies as she just keeps getting attacked. She has her fully fly rugged up and covered in coppers fly spray, keeps her in during the day and out at night and garlic supplement. Is there
anything else she can do as the mare loves being out but she just can't at the moment.

Try deosect, my poor boy is a fly magnet and this lasts two weeks and definately keeps them away xx

coopers is brilliant i am surprised that they flies are still attacking her, possibly the owner hasnt put enough of it on the mare. i would also rinse the fly sheet in a diluted solution of coopers as well, let it dry then put it back on the mare.
