Help.... Foal Coming

My foal is coming on sunday and he will be 21 weeks old... what i dont know is if i should rug him or not... its getting to -2 degrees here already...

You don't say what breed he is. If he's a native, very prob no rug, if he's a purebred tb or arab, i'd be slightly more likely to rug him. If he has a wooly coat already, and a shelter in the field that he can definitely use (not going to be bullied away from, for instance), and ad lib forage (ditto), then I wouldn't rug him. his own wooly coat will fit him far better than any rug could.
If there's a chance he could get cold and wet, and/or hungry, then I probably would rug him.
