Help

I've sold a 'buy it now' item on ebay and have another six items that are due to end shortly. I've sent the 'buy it now' winner an invoice (quite how I haven't a clue but I DID IT!!!!!)

But the problem is....how do I know if I have been paid? Will ebay email me within ebay itself or do I have to check my bank account? I can't even remember what bank account I am using and I am worried that I may post something when I don't know for certain that the money has gone into my account. I thought when you bought something that is a 'buy it now' item the money goes in automatically straight away.

And why is it asking me to leave feedback for the item that the buyer has just bought off me???????

Where do I go from here folks???? I'm a bit lost. :o

the money will go into your paypal account, so u need to log in and check if its paid. i had a problem with paypal the other week becos stupid idiot me put .co.uk instead of .com at the end of my email address! so all the money was going to the wrong place

as soon as the buyer has paid it automatically asks u to leave feedback - but u don't have to until you can check u been paid!!

annoyingly my paypal is holding onto over £130 at the moment - they are allowed to for up to 21 days before releasing it to me - arghhhh!! don't they REALISE i sold these items because I NEED MONEY??!?!?!

Thanks Catwithclaws

Feedback for what? To say "yes the seller paid quickly" or something like that?
I've been into my Paypal account and its not been paid yet.

And I had no idea Paypal could hold onto your money for 21days. That's naughty as they will get interest on that!

yeah u can just write that they paid quickly or whatever - thats what i do. if the money doesnt appear in your paypal by the end of the day maybe contact the buyer and ask what email address the payment was sent to? thats what i did (thats how i found out about my wrong email address!)

i got proof of postage when i sent my items, but no tracking number - my parcels were sent over a week ago, and ive had no feedback left from any of the buyers, but no messages to say the items hadn't been delivered, so i'm now stuck between a rock and a hard place lol - i swear selling on ebay is more stressful than going thru childbirth!

when the person has paid, the pound symbol next to your item in the 'sold' section should be blue, if you hover over it it will tell you when the money has been sent, then just check the account and if its there, send the item. the feedback is just basically something like 'prompt payment, easy hassle free transaction thanks A*' that sort of thing :)

It also says that I have sold two items, I have received payment for one item but not for the other, yet when I go into my paypal account to check, it has not been received.

Anyone???

are you sure you've asked for payment by paypal? you might have given the buyer a couple of options of payment, eg. paypal, bank transfer, cheque etc. check what you put on your listings, if its just paypal then contact the buyer and ask if they sent it to the right email :)
ETA. another thing you might have not done is veryfied your paypal account, in this case the money will float somewhere in between the buyers account and your paypal and wait untill you verify your paypal account. :)

You dont have to wait 21 days to receive ur money eother u can just send money from ur paypal acc to the card u have registered to it :-) as for feedback just put quick payment pleasure doing business or something like that!!

Guys thank you for your help, I have transferred the funds from my paypal account to my bank account today although its not shown up as yet. It does say in the small print that Ebay/Paypal have the right to withhold funds for 21 days before allowing you it in your bank account.

I learnt the hard way the perils of ebay today after practically giving away a raised port pelham bit that cost me £18 to buy and only getting £3.20 for it as I didn't put a reserve on it, or make it a 'buy it now'. I will know for next time. It grieves me as I wrap it up and send it on its merry way to its new home, it really does! I'm under the user name Applecart 14 if anyone wants to browse the things I have for sale.

money from paypal to bank account transfer ALWAYS takes up to 5working days, i don't know why but they're annoyingly slow like that :S but now that you've transferred the money etc it should be with you soon :)
