A young teenage girl on my yard is wanting to start jumping her 5yo 15hh coloured irish cob. She has recently taken him out to his first dressage show and came 1st overall junior in her class. As a showjumper myself i have told her to do lots of raised pole and introduce him this way. She has done little bits on the yard but nothing major as she is worried his flatwork isn't good enough. I try and help her as much as i can but i dont want to give her the wrong information! What exercises(including poles and not) would people suggest for her to do to get him ready to start jumping in the spring? Any help is appreciated! Thanks M
