Help from irish peeps please

Okay heres the deal. OH has been offered a fantastically well paid job in Galway to start at the end of the year. I'm more than happy to move from Scotland to Ireland as I love the country but I have a few questions.
1. I want to take my horse with me. Do I need to make any special provision for this, as regards passports, importing, quarantine etc?
2. Any suggestions on livery places around Galway?
3. I compete BD here, do I need to re-register with Irish dressage?
4. Hunting in the area? I'm really looking forward to a winter of hunting.
5. Can I take my horse box over or do I need to go to the hassle of importing it?

I'll probably have another million questions but that's it for starters.

Ok ...
1) I think there may be a few checks when you enter the country but there is no quarantine or anything! Will check out exactly what happens for you if you want?

2) LOADS of livery available in Galway but it is a big place so once you narrow it down you will be able to get a list of nearby places

3) Yes you will prob need to register with Dressage Ireland

4) Galway is one of the BEST hunting counties in the country

That would be fantastic! I'd really appreciate it.

I've been looking at houses around Tuam so livery near that would be ideal. Something with an indoor school would be spot on!

Galway Horse...

Galway = Hunting to most people. Though Dressage is not that big anywhere outside of Dublin really.

Also, go to Calander, choose West and you can see our up and coming shows.
