What are you going to do? A combination of things or mainly just dressage or jumping or showing?

A general all round great jacket is the Pikeur Dianna I think (well one of them is washable, looks good and fits well).

Boots really depend on what you want to do!

Sorry, i was not specific enough.
I am just going to do a bit of everything.. mainly dressage on my novice youngster , so we will be at a fairly low level.
I just was after something that i could get away with in using for a bit of everythng..ie, jumping, dressage and events.
Thank you , all help really appreciated ! x x

I have a navy pikeur jacket - the wool one, not sure of the name- and it is brilliant, I wear it to everything and it seems very versatile. Cleans up lovely too and works with white breeches for dressage, or cream/beige too.

Well in that case have a look at the pikeur jackets for sure. They are really nice. I love my washable one to pieces (a must with my horses).

Boots wise, also depends whether you like zips or not in your boots. I really like Cavallo and Pikeur boots (but they aren't cheap).

Roeckl gloves are the way forward aswell!!

Good Luck

Daughters and I all have navy pikeurs, can be interesting when we are all out together as we end up trying to wear the wrong ones! They have all beeen bargins on ebay, have paid less than half price for all of them, they wear and wash brilliantly.
Have also picked up some really decent boots on ebay, I always email the sellers first to get as many measurements as possible and as yet have been lucky havent bought a pair that dont fit, Ariat field boots which are fantastic for £40 and Cavellos, brand new for £20! I love bargins!!

I'd ditto the Pikeur jacket, given the name tag I actually think they are reasonably priced for the quality of the cut. And versatile for a variety of disciplines.

Breeches, very much personal choice, but there is such a huge choice out there you won't struggle!

Boots - depends on your budget and what you like. If you want a more traditional cut then have a look at Cavellos. The vast majority of people are now wearing high cut with zips - you get these at a wide variety of budgets from cheapo dublin and the like, to upper mid range like Sarm Hippique/Sergio Grasso, and even more expensive than that which I don't even window shop for!
One to consider is the Ariat Bromont, they are cut very nicely, reasonably priced, ultra comfortable and have suede inners legs for grip - more than smart enough for all disciplines at the lower levels.

Hats are a big fashion statement and vary on discipline the most seemingly. SJ's love the GPS style, and although unaff dressage they are seen I personally think they look wrong! If you want one multipurpose had I would probably opt for a velvet type with flesh harness, Charles Owen do a good one.

Thank you sooooo much , thats been so much help . Im definately going to go for the Pikeur jackets as they look so lovely and everyone says nice things about them.. as for boots will try on lots and note down sizing - see if i can get an ebay bargain ! Thank you every one x x x
