Hello, my name is Megan Batchelor,

As a part of my studies at Hartpury College (University of West England), I am conducting research in to the awareness of Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome in the leisure horse for my dissertation. This is my final push now to gain as many participants as I can so I can create some valid research. I am aiming to provide information that could be used to contribute to reducing Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome in Horses! The question regarding highest risk factor does not make sense: do you mean the owner would change the exercise/feed etc regime? Or that's what caused it? It would be useful to number the questions, particularly as you want owners who haven't experienced ulcers to skip to the last two questions, but the penultimate question refers to horses who have had ulcers. I'm surprised your tutor didn't raise these as potential issues.
 
A risk factor is something that contributes to the cause. The last two questions; one related to horse health and one to ask where you live (however it is optional if you do not wish to disclose that information). Thank you, I appreciate your advice.
