HELP..hi-vis related before I knock someone out

DS I use some flashing cycling bands round my ankles instead. could also easily spiral them up the side of a stirrup though I should think.

On the subject of stirrup lights - someone at the yard has stirrups with red reflective bits on them. They are so visible when any light hits them - like flashing fireworks! I will have a look tomorrow, see what make they are!

I am well fed up with cyclists, walkers, school children etc that are pretty much invisible! I think it should be law that all coats etc (especially school children's) should have the reflective strips at the very least! Driving home this evening there was some jogger coming up the road with a stream of traffic going at least 40 (60 mph limit) towards her. She was TOTALLY invisible and we nearly hit her - as did everyone behind us! Don't know if she was eventually hit!

SPOT THE HORSE RIDER!

I go out looking like a Christmas tree, hat band & vest/jacket for me. Neck band, sheet, tail wrap thing & boots on the horse... I would rather look like a twonk and be safe than look "cool" and have a car ram me and the horse up the chuffer

I never go out without a high viz vest on at a minimum - however if the weather is dull or it's early morning, i have a really bright head torch which I put on my riding hat and a couple of blue flashing arm bands (they work amazingly well when we first go out on the road in the morning as the first thing the car driver sees is blue flashing lights - they really slow down!!! I got them off ebay and I wear them round my arms

They do a few colours, but believe me, the blue ones are really effective!!

Lots of lovely links & ideas...I have my favourite neon pink (almost hypnotic) martingale adapted for my dog to wear(its v-bands and uber adjustable!) fits my large GSD type AND my 17hh tb!:D I was about to look on ebay for some similar reflective 'ribbon' neon on black fabric a bit like back leg strap material..when Mum announced she'd made a discovery! £1 for a whole 1.4meters of it! although its only yellow and is currently a dog lead, complete with clip...I have plans for it! If we're talking adapting things, I really like the rope style dog leads..they look like woven leadropes, but have reflective tape interwoven into the yellow fabric & really stand out in headlight..I;ll see what i come up with over the weekend..if anyone spots any pink or purple reflective bits like the v-bands fabric please post the link..I've got my needle 7 thread at the ready! Also my neighbours (stables) run a hi vis tabbard company, they have a battery powered flashing hazzard light with different flash patterns selectable at the push of a button.. I've bought 4 at 20 each in order to canibalise to make glow in the dark rug rumps for leading along the lane - they are awesome as tabbards but I recon they'll be even better once the scissors have been introduced..just not sure if to do one for each horse or make the dog a hi vis onsie!
