After sad loss of my horse, does anyone want to help me horse hunt?

Looking for 5-8, 15.3-16.2. Compact but deep girth type.

I’m 41, 12 stone, 5ft6 with long legs

Sensible, seen a fair bit of life and proven sensible. Low mileage, sound with no complications. Good conformation, fairly solid build. Ideally neither full WB or full TB.

Kind natured and enough quality movement to eventually have a go at BD advanced medium.

Fun horse that enjoys schooling, hacking inc solo, getting out and about being busy.

Decent, low five figure budget.

Ideally in South East, so I can take my vet and physio to check horse out.

Personal recommendation would be great.

Gloria - fabulous showcob! - Horse & Hound (horseandhound.co.uk) I dont live in the UK, but I was just looking at the h&h horses for sale page and spotted this horse, and then read your post an I was like, ?. From the video, Gloria looks pretty solid, and apparently loves to jump, but looks pretty good with flatwork. She could be better, but I belive some grid/pole work should clear it up. I didn't see where she is located, and she is 15 hh, but she is a cob. Probley not much help, but...

Thanks that’s a nice horse! But I think I’m too big (long legs and 12 stone) for a 15hh horse cob. Very deep girthed 15.1-15.3hh might work.

But more crucially I missed putting in the original post, NEEDS to be gelding to fit in space at current yard.

i know but it seems anything in the 5 to 8 seems to be big money so thought it may be worth a look as he has been in the same home for a long time..maybe worth waiting till winter has progressed and people may drop their expectations, the lockdown seems to have sent prices sky high..good luck
