Help! Horse insurance

Can someone recommend a good insurance company?
dads just got a letter saying our payments due £450! not to sure who we are with.
petplan quoted me £1000 a year and i ticked the box for riding club and hacking ect
also what should i put in the box for what he is worth now not sure my self

personally think im going to go and tell both horses its time to get jobs to help pay for themselves
 
I have just insured my new horse with KBIS. It was easy to do and I have the top band of vets fees. I don't insure for loss of use as this always makes the premium skyrocket and ins companies make you jump through so many hoops it costs you a fortune anyway. It cost me just over £400 for my horse which is insured for £5000. I have previously insured with NFU (premiums and paperwork too much) and EandL (no probs but heard a few horror stories). Very pleased with my KBIS cover. Hope this helps.xxx
