Hello everyone, need some advice on my mare!
She is fairly stocky with a Irish Draught x tb breeding, so has decent sized legs! Although, her slight dishing seems to be causing her damage with bumps and lumps appearing on the insides of her legs. I have always been aware of her legs being close together, so make sure that she is always in boots when being ridden regardless of the level. Im worried that if she keeps clipping herself she may cause some real harm, but is there anything i can really do? Some people recommended turning her out in boots, but in the mud and wet i do not want that. Other people told me oils and creams, does anyone have any experience with this? Obviously i cant change the way she is, but id quite like to avoid the chance of splints if i can!
