HELP!!! horse started coughing and event on sunday!!!

Hi has anyone got any quick fixes or solutions for a dry cough which has come on gradually over the last two days? Horse on shavings and good quailty haylage. ODE on sunday. HELP!!!

Hi she is very much still herself, glossy coat, eating well etc but has a very dry cough when excersised. No nasel discharge or laboured breathing. Ive spoken to my vet who says buy some cough mixture from boots!!! I suppose its worth a try!
