Helloo, My Pony has really bad hayfever and whenever i go out on a hack he shakes his head so much it is almost impossible to ride :( If anyone knows any medicines or quick solutions as i am planning a long hack with my friend tomorrow so any quick solutions if possible but all solutions are appreciated :D
Please comment as i NEED help! <3

Piriton in feed, a good fly mask to stop runny eyes & keep in on high pollen count days is how we deal with ours!!
Maybe try a nose net while you are riding xx

Sainsburys hayfever tablets, mine gets 4 in his feed a day. I know some people say that you would have to feed loads for it to have an effect on horses but it does really work for my pony.
Oh yes and a nose net!

Google 'Headshaking' & try a nosenet or fly mask. There are several products you could try to put in his food, such as Pollen-x from Global Herbs.

How long have you had the horse? Headshaking can often be a seasonal condition.

I use a nose net when riding. He also has Carl Hester vapour rub on his nose.

Feed:
6 hayfever tablets per day
1 squirt of Carl Hester Air Power
Aniseed
Marshmallow leaf

He's not perfect, but rideable, like a rocking horse without all this at this time of year.

If you need a quick fix for tomorrow, nip and get a few hayfever tablets from the supermarket and put a pair of tights over his nose in place of a nose net! They do work!!!
