The horse i have been riding is normally turned out in a headcollar, as he is a bit of a pain to catch. I went up this afternoon and it was off not sure why but found it in the field, there is a horse in field who takes rugs off so thinking he had a hand in it.
Anyway went up to my boy, he was fine had his treats but as soon as i tried to put headcollar back on he span and trotted off.
I was on my own with no leadrope just headcollar.
I am going to get my mum to come up tomorrow and try with a rope round his neck first and then put headcollar on. Im thinking of putting his treats so he has to put his nose into head collar then pass it slowly over his head still feeding him?
Do you think this will work? or Any suggestions of how i can get it on?
Thanks
