Help I might have a Dog with Asthma?!?

Hey All


ok so here is the deal i just want you to clarify something for me.

I am minding an 19 month old retreiver, I have had him for about 4/5 weeks and i have noticed when he gets excited he has this weezy kind of cough type breathing.
Its really strange and it was only today when i was watching him in the garden (him and my dog were having a conversation with the dog next door ) that it came to me it could be asthma.

what do you think?? could i mistaken is there any other ideas of what it could be.

It could be reverse sneezing, does he sound like this.

kind of but not quite so breathy if that makes sense but the wheeze of it is very similar.

As i have said i have had him for a couple of weeks and i have noticed it about 6 times

If it is reverse sneezing it is generally nothing to worry about, they recover quite quickly. You can try gently rubbing his throat, or covering his nostrils, to help him.
Can you check with ?his owners if he has done this before
