Help!!! I need to do Geri Halliwell Fancy Dress for Quadrille

Hi Guys,

We are off to Aintree in October to do the RC Quadrille....

I have (somehow) been given Geri Halliwell for my fancy dress outfit?

Any ideas?

Was thinking... ice skater thick tights, black (cheapo) riding boots sprayed post box red, 'THE' union jack mini dress and some little black gym shorts (to cover my dignity)...

Please help :)

The Spice Girls were so long ago now I have forgotten which was which.

The dress...how are you going to work that so that it doesn't ruck up and make it look as if you are just wearing a tee shirt? Slit it back and front so that it does fall (as much as a mini dress can anyway :D) over your legs? The shorts are good thinking, black jodhs or riding tights will probably do just as well - you may feel more comfortable in them. The red boots will be a nice touch.

Although looking at the dress it IS just a shirt isn't it? :D

I thought of the tights ice- skaters wear?

Yep, the theme is best of british so horses are being red, white and blue-d with sequin union jack quarter sheets

Get a cheap wig, kids dressing up type one for a few times, preferably blonde. Then spray all but front two bangs red with cheap wash out spray (superdrug do it) & secure it over your hat like a silk. If you don't have your own massive pair of boobs, or don't want to risk spilling them, get those ridiculous plastic ones they sell for stag do's & put them as cleavage mostly under your top.
