Help, I think I got it wrong ...

I think it's an excellent competition, and would love to win it, but there's absolutely no point me entering as there's no way I could get my pony there, it's just too far away. So I think you're doing everything right, it's just that you'll only get people within a certain geographical area entering

can I just ask why you have to post in the forum to be able to enter a competition - i do use and read MMH but I don't post on the forum so never bother entering the competitions.

hi it's a competition thread but you can enter by email too. The thread makes the whole competition very transparent and exciting really (as you can see most of the entries and what your chances are). The winners are posted almost immediately in the forum too and of course the prizes are won within a day or two of the competition opening so again hopefully making it all more exciting.

I would love a lesson but its too far, would be easier for him to come to me...purely for a lesson....

I try and enter most things but would be my luck I win this an be unable to go!

Because I have nothing to ride, I don't think he'd be best impressed if I turned up with 10hh of evilness....

God, I'd love the Grasmeres, or anything really! I think the lessons are good prizes so keep them going.
My only problem in competitions is rugs and things seem to start at a size 5'6 which is useless for me.... I'd end up having to give them away which defeats the object.

I'm a bit far away in Somerset TBH to really enter the comp for a lesson, but have anyway! Even though me and the 'oss are rubbish at flatwork, i wouldnt normally get an opportunity like this or be able to afford it, so I have to give it a go really. You never know it may be what me and the horse need! But Cate, if you do more win a lesson, can you make it a private one with Oli Townend at my place...?? Have a thing for him at the mo..

He's too far away for me and I'd think he would only want to teach superstars and people out competing seriously at dressage!

I love the other competitions though and would enter comps for lessons if they were in the Midlands, but I don't think we have many famous people up here..?

Richard Davidson and Jeanette Brakewell not famous enough for you???

They are both based in Notts I believe.

from my point of view, I'd enter them but they are too far away and therefore too expensive to get to. If you included transport as part of the comp then Id enter every time.

Ok, West Mids then. I'm practically in Wales and Notts is quite a drive in a trailer from there...
