I am looking to buy a horse in Cardiff or surrounding areas of South Wales (can travel). Before I start looking at horses it seemed wise to ensure I have accomodation sorted so I'm looking for a DIY yard or field with stables etc. in the Cardiff/South Wales area, - if anyone has any recommendations? I would start with one horse but my husband is just starting to learn to ride so in the future it would be nice if the yard is likely to have space for an addition too.
As this will be my first owned horse and I've been out of the saddle a while (rode twice weekly at Pontcanna Riding School from '89 to '00) I am very nervous and haven't found a lot of options.
Just basic field/stables is fine, tack room/toilet if possible, as I only plan to be doing light hacking at the most. Something quiet and without the ahem, "politics" of a larger yard if you know what I mean! Although a few facilities might be nice it's not really a must as long as the field has stables for the winter and is safe/secure.
I'm Located in central cardiff, have car and plentry of time so travel if necessary not a big deal but ideally someone not too far out if possible - within 30 minutes would be ideal
