Hi,

Would be grateful if anyone could help!!

I have recently had a tb vetted and vet said that on his teeth there are "possible signs of cribbing" due to them being slightly worn down, the owner has said he doesn't crib and has signed a certificate from the vet to say he is free from vices including cribbing and that the reason it looks to be this way is that the horse strips bark off trees.

Despite the horse passing the vetting and this just being a small note in the bit where the vet writes about the horse, the insurance company at first said they wouldn't insure for colic or any of the horse's digestive system, they then said that they will insure for this after 90 days of owning the horse if we have a vet come up and say the horse doesn't crib (lots of money for what seems very pointless considering we have a certificate to say he does not crib from the owner and vet).

I was wondering if anyone else has had any similar issues with insuring horses that may/do crib and how it resolved? Currently the vet is writing a letter for us to give to the insurance company in the hope that it might get sorted.

Thank you!!
