help iodene staining

hi my horse had a few minor scraches on tues.
only thing i had to hand was a bottle of iodene spray (duhh!!)
he is meant to have white legs ,were of to richmond on sunday and it has to go

any ideas how to get it off ??
he is coloured so in desperation thinkin of covering with black boot polish as a last resort,
he does have some natural black splodges
have tried hotish water n shampoo ,not making any difference
help!!

I think (rusty chemistry here from when I worked in a lab when I left school and used to get iodine stains quite often) you might be able to use a bit of lemon juice to remove the stains

If lemon juice doesn't work, you could try babywipes, they seem to remove anything!
