HELP! I've bought a show jacket and....

it only has botton HOLES up both sides not buttons one side and holes the other - does anyone know what those fasteners are that fit this type of jacket????
 
Most of the more expensive riding jackets have buttons attached to a smaller button or toggle so that you just pop the smaller button through the hole and voila there is your button ready to do up, no sewing. It's so you can remove them to wash the jacket without the buttons getting caught up.

If you check the swing tags to make sure the buttons are not in a little bag, also check the pockets - these may be sewn up with the buttons inside. Or ring the manufacturer and explain your predicament?

If not you can buy them, think Pikeur do them so you could have posh buttons:
