we have a pony i rescued who has been lame on and off since we got him 3 mths ago, vet thought it was locking of the stifle because he drags his back toes. but when he walks his hips and pelvis area are very stiff it doesnt move in a normal way nor do his back legs he doesnt seam to be in pain but cant get his feet cornated, any one have any ideas what this could be? The only other this is he had been abused before we got him and hes basily blind from a head injury

Hiya, he could have problems with his back/hocks? I'd recommend finding a McTimoney-Corley Animal Spinal Therapist that covers your area and get an appointment. You'll need to have permission from your vet before they can treat your horse. I get one out to my horse, he has arthritus in his hocks and a few other minor complaints and i have to say it's worth every penny. They basically massage your horse focusing on any problem areas but they can also manipulate vertibrae etc. They'll be able to tell you what the problem is. This is the web site of my horses therapist www.animalmanipulator.co.uk Good luck
