Help! Legal advice? Threats from the other horses owner?

We "hurt him" when he flipped out because we had to take our filly away from him and they want compensation.

They weren't too worried about 'hurting' him when they advertised the filly and then took your money. Like to see how they try to prove 'hurt'. Compensation, they can whistle!!

Colt escapes from field & gets in2 another field both owned by same person who is also the yard owner & fields are poorly fenced then does the YO not have some responsibility 2 upkeep the fences etc 2 stop escapees? Therefore not ure problem colt escaped

I think you should not admit liability for anything at all. The less said the better to them. Do not phone. Do not ask how their animals are. Just ignore them and they will likely go away.

I would definitely move yards asap!! Even if you make a complaint to the Police you will still have to see this person on the yard. Under the circumstances, that is not something I could personally deal with! So I know that you are not at fault but all the same - move!

This - get away from those kind of people, and make a report to police if something happens at least there is some detail on file. the police may give them a warning as well.

Ur insurance company should b able to*advise u. Generallythe other person has to prove u were negligent. I would suggest that if anything they were negligent as they did not attend or help at any point!!! X
