I'm hoping the HHO network can help me out here....

I'm moving up to Oxford (ideally north of) or Banbury with work in the next few weeks and will need to move my horse as well. Can anyone recommend any nice yards to look at? I want assisted (sp?) DIY with the flexibility for full/part if needed, decent sized school, and nice friendly yard.

Any ideas? Or anyone on a yard with spaces for a stroppy old baggage (the horse

)? Thanks

Im at a nice yard just outside Witney - its quite big no kids under 14, 2 schools jumping paddock in summer But its DIY but easy to get help with feed turnout ect...
called Hill farm

Im at a full/part livery small yard (only 2 liveries at the mo!!!) with good facilities but its reeally prob the wrong side of oxford. Thame way...

Turpins lodge is lovely but yes it is a riding school. Grange farm is lovely and it is smaller than it makes out on the website.

Maybe try and get hold of a chiltern and thames magazine as they norm have lots of ads for livery.

sorry couldnt help more, i live the other side of oxford (abingdon way) so not much help really. I can tell you of lots my side!!!

ooooh can I join this one? Also looking for same thing, south of Banbury. My key requirement is small turnout numbers.. that's only reason for my need to move. Don't want my horse beaten up in the field! Need a school too please and prefer a small yard. Very well behaved owner, while mare can be bit irritable but is sane and just prefers being left alone. Thanks++

HI
Grange Farm is the nicest i can think of. They offer diy, assisted diy, part and full livery. There is a massive flood lit menage, a xc course and gallops with extensive off road hacking and all year round turn out.
If you visit crofts the pet shop in banbury they always have ads up in there for liveries.
