Not sure if anyone can help me (maybe seen on your travels?) but looking for my own black beauty, not bothered on age so long as it's not more than 16yrs, sex or breed. But it does have to be safe, good to hack and excellent with traffic. I have up to £2000 but could push it. Don't mind travelling a bit but no more than 100mile from northampton really but again for the right horse could go a bit further.

Like number one, others are unsuitable in my opinion, a tb-x just back in work very overbent and not many details, why ?, other is an occasional bucker, not ideal, and other is too small. good luck in your hunt, and try loads the right one will find you, take your time it can take weeks/months, but you will know when you've found the one.

I've had a quick look on Horsemart, do you like the sound of any of these?........

I don't know if the last two are too short for you, I didn't know what you meant as your lower height restriction.

Thank you so much for that I did mean 14.3hh but finger must have slipped! Note to ones self double check things before submitting! I have been ridding a 14.1hh but want something that bit bigger I think.:)

Number one is the best although maybe a little too cobby but will most probably go to have a look as is nice size. Am having to be so careful as the money is burning a hole in my pocket

What sort of horses have you been riding, what level of rider are you and how confident are you?

It's helpful to have more of an idea of exactly what sort of horse and rider we need to match (well as far as possible without seeing them IRL). Hopefully then, someone will find some ads that are worth ringing up about. :)

PS. Does the horse have to be black?

Can I ask why it has to be black, you could be passing up on a better horse just because of it's colour??!

Agree, good points F.C, if H&H forum had a bit more info, you'll get loads more idea's/ ad's to look at, were here to help you find your perfect partner :-), but could do with a wee bit more info, every little helps :-), well done for asking advice that's what were here for :-).x

I know that feeling and it doesn't stop when you have bought the horse. I saved up some spending money to take to Olympia and I had to restrain myself from spending it all on sparkly browbands, embroidered saddlecloths etc... ;)

I don't see a problem with wanting your dream horse. If I was to look for a new horse now it would be a grey 15.2 ex racer. :L

Will have a look for you now. :)

I looked for my dream black horse back in 2010 and found him :) he really is my dream and I couldn't be more happy with him! I'll keep a look out for you. Do you prefer chunky or lighter weight breeds?

I agree more info is needed sorry guys.

Right black simply as always wanted one but of cause if my perfect horse was any colour I wouldn't mind ;) just being picky:eek:

I have ridden since i was 10 and that's now 19years of experience under my belt (those of you who can add will be able to work out my age now :D). I have been on everything from bucking bronco to dead leg, I prefer jumping and have compteted many years ago. Now though since having children I try very hard to be careful as what use is a mum to youngsters with broken bones (tried that last year!) so really looking for something that is happy to hack out on it's own and with others as do lead my 5yrs boy sometimes but also is ace in traffic due to yard being straight onto a fairly busy road. Not fizzy would be helpful again just due to my boys being around the yard most days and like to feel it's safe for them to be around (obviously I know that bombproof in this area in any horse can not be promised) A horse that is happy to stand with noise around it while being groomed to death by my son. If it likes to jump it is a big plus as would like to get back into local level competing. Don't mind greeness as have worked with youngsters.

I hope that helps somewhat?

Thank you everyone

I might have had something suitable for you in a few months time, but I'm in Worcestershire!

I wanted a black beauty for my first horse, and I got him :) He really was one in a million!
