help me again

i have started jumping tabby again after a years break and i have lost all of my small amount of confidence jumped tonight and it took all my courage to jump a narrow 60cm straight

bt tabby does rush really badly at fences but i cant slow her down believe me ive tried its just better to let her get on with it
i really want to be jumping 80-90cm again but i just cant get through this mental block help!

just persevere and take your time to build up slowly. you'll soon get there again!

don't worry, ive been through this too! it takes a lot of time and perseverence which i know is so frustrating, could you ask a friend or RI or someone if you could have some confidence building jumping lessons on one of their horses? i found that this helped me loads as it made me want to jump more with my own pony! good luck!

try some grid work .....it'll make her think about where she is putting her feet and she won't rush so much. Main thing is you are giving it a go...you'll get there

I have a confidence crisis on a regular basis and find a lesson with a nice instructor building the jumps up slowly (or even just with a pal on the ground) really really helps!! And who cares whether you jump 50cm or 1m??? Take your time there's no rush, especially after a year xxxx Good luck Im sure you will be fine xxx
