So it's the end of the season and I'd like to make a card for all those who've helped and supported us through this season, from saddlers to friends who feed the neds at home. I'd also like to include it in proposals to potential sponsors for next season, as an example of one of the ways I interact with our friends and followers.

It needs to be an amateur photo to avoid copyright issues, and I think I'd prefer landscape, but have included some portrait as many of them I have cropped and the could be changed. It will be quite small on the card, so hopefully a little blurriness won't be noticeable. They're all from this year.

Please let me know which one you would most like to receive if it were to land on your doormat! Thanks!

This is the front runner for me, my only concern is the fence itself isn't massive (it was wide enough though for a fence into water!). Light and composition look good to me, it is from Tongeren, Benelux Championships.

Last one for me too and maybe crop out as much of the trailer in the background as possible ? The background in most of them is quite distracting and draws attention away from what is a stunning horse (slightly jealous !) Can you not get some good actions shots at home turned out in the field as well ?

Either Sameur or Breda.

I don't know if you can get the deal over there, but Vistaprint are doing 100 postcards for free. It adds a bit if you upload your own picture, but will look really good with a pic on one side and the message on the other. I use these to remind my clients I exist in the winter!

they are good! although i didn't have the free offer the visaprint postcards are what you received as an invitation ;)

That looks good! Can you fade the background a bit or is that too techy? Even with the trailer, I think it might be worth fiddling with your crop a bit as the way it is now makes it look unbalanced and draws the eye to the woman taking the photo. Not much, just a bump.

I prefer the last one myself, it's not a busy (as in too many other things in the background) and it's one hell of a nice jump, although I' not sure if I'd be tempted to take out the bottom (as in the water reflection) although it's nice it really depends on what size and shape your thank you card is going to be, just my thoughts, good luck with it, be nice to see a sample of the final card once you have put it all together.

Can I suggest you ppost this in the picture gallery and ask for some photoshop help, there are a couple of people that go in there that are *really* good and could probably get rid of the people in the background and neaten it up a bit IYSWIM? Hope you don't take that the wrong way, the pic look great, just if we've got geniuses that can do funky stuff ;)

Adding my thoughts - as a company owner I wouldn't want to see other advertising

Plus that picture is a bit odd as you cannot see the horses front legs

Therefore I think the boat one is much better for sponsors

Id choose the up-turned boat - good colours, no other advertising and it shows the most spectators - after companies sponsor for advertisment ;-)

The thing with the upturned boat is that we're not central in it, and we lose the spectators if I crop it.... There's nothing to stop me getting different ones printed, and choosing the pic for the person receiving it, so for a potential sponsor I might sacrifice a particularly great fence in favour of something highlighting sponsorship opps (note absence of branding on numnah!), for my saddlers who helped me with my xc saddle I'll pick one where they can really see the saddle, etc. I think I'll do that, pick 4, and get 25 printed of each, then I can choose. Thanks for your help guys, and if I have the time I'll repost in Pic Gallery, good suggestion.
