After months of scouring the internet for a bargain and almost giving up hope and going bespoke made to measure, i have found 2 tweeds with long arms!!
They are not really what i wanted, i was after a mustard lighter tweed with a navy collar, but hey ho unless i pay £200 from Le Beau Cheval i anint going to get it!
So i need your opinion on which one to go for.
Its for showing a colored cob and a black Welsh D. Local level first but would want to do some county stuff next year so needs to be smart enough for both :)

I have found the *one* :D:D and there are 2 of them!
Jacket 1 below has extra long sleeves, 19.5"!! its bespoke but a size 14 so would need it taking in, am a 10/12. It has blue velvet on the pockets, would this be okay?
Its £55

Then theres this one, 18.5 sleeves - 18.5" is just right in sleeve length. Its is a 14 so again need taking in.
Reserve not met so over £50. (ebay)

Which one then?
I am leaning toward the bespoke one i could always change the buttons. It seems a better length in the sleeves and it seems a bargain. It does have a red overcheck which is hard to spot from the pics! but then again is it not man enough to show a D and a cob?!
Opinions please :D:D

not sure about the first one, doesnt look correct to me. The 2nd one is much nicer :)

Try giving Kim at Mrs candys a phone, she often has 2nd hand jackets, thats where I got mine from. people trade in their old one against a new one so she has a regular stock

I have to say in my personal opinion neither is that great. The first looks very beige! Could be the pic of course

The second looks a bit loud but is probably the better of the two from a colour point of view

The first one does look like it could be very well cut just the pic does it no favours, that colour would put me off though

The velvet on the pockets isn't a problem though I always think tweeds shouldn't have any velvet at all

A good jacket that fits well will last years

Taking in a jacket properly isn't cheap either and the end result may not be what you wanted

I'd be saving up that £200 personally!

I think you should keep looking. Something better will turn up.

Yeah, i think i will :(

Am having a horsey clear-out on eBay so who knows, perhaps i will raise enough for a custom made one!! i think thats my only real option TBH. They rarely come up in a 19.5" sleeve!!
Will try Mrs Candy though, may have something in stock :)
