I have found a lovely looking horse, would be just right for us. We are in Kent, he is in Manchester. He cant be viewed on Saturday, so our options are to travel up on Sunday and try him just once, 600 mile round trip. or wait until the next weekend when we are on a weeks holiday, we can go on the sunday and see him, then stay up there and see him again on monday. But then there is the chance he is aready sold by then. HELP!!!!!
 
long way to go..... arrange to go up on sunday, bearing in mind traffic home on a sunday evening will be horrible BUT why not ask the owners to email you some video shots of said horse moving/jumping.. might clear your mind?
 
I have already got pics and videos, he just looks what we want,. Our 2 issues about going on sunday are number one its such a long way to go and come back in one day, we both have to be back to work on monday morning at 7.30, and also it means we would only try him just once, instead of twice the next week.
 
Depends on how much you really do like and want him, if it were me a 600 mile round trip would be nothing if it meant I'd found my dream horse.

You could set off extremely early, ask all your questions and ride in arena on morning , go for lunch then come back and ride on the roads and see him jump, do dresage etc peniding on what you want him for.

That way you ride him twice and in a better frame of mind to decide if he's right for you.

You could then leave a deposit and pending passing a vet check buy him. This would also give you time to go back the following weekend and see him again.
 
could you not go up late of saturday and stay in a hotel over night and see him first thing in the morning, get lunch then go back and see him again.
