Looking for a 3.5 tonne horsebox. Have up to £8000 but cheaper would be better. Payload and condition is most important to me, looking for 1.2 - 1.3 tonne payload. Newer plate vs old reg with same mileages?? Whats best?
1. renault master m reg, diesel engine, 130 000 mileage,vgc, full mot - £4000
2. vauxhall movano 51 reg, diesel engine, 156 000 mileage, absolutley stunning new build (proper horsebox back) full mot - £7500
3. renault master 55 reg, diesel engine, 130 000 mileage, new build van conversion, full mot - £7000
They all have fairly high mileage but cannot afford any with lower, what in your opinion would be the safest bet??
Really appreciate any thoughts/ views.

dont worry too much about mileage as most cabs that horseboxes are converted onto are ex-commercial vehicles that have been used daily.
These diesel engines are designed to be good work horses - for horseboxes the mileages you have quotes would be considered low/medium mileage.

I have a renault master box and it's lovely.

i would go for the one with the lowest unladen weight TBH. that way you can work out how you much you have to play with, and also which one you find easiest to drive (and most comfortable for you and the horse.)
let us know which one you go for!

Thankyou, im very tempted to go with the £7500 one as it is a never used new conversion with proper horsebox back (i dont really like the van conversions) I thought 156 000 miles was fairly high though. It has lots of extras such as an awning, paking sensors, etc and is absolutley stunning.
