Knowing how much you all seem to like your shopping. Does anybody fancy doing a bit of window shopping to help me find a new horse?

For an adult lady rider
Between 15.2 and 16.2 and 4-7 years old.
Suitable for hacking, riding club, team chasing and to start intro eventing
Friendly sort with nice paces and a bold jump.
Ideally would have done some hunting but not essential
Preferably not full TB but am flexible on this.

I do have a limited budget (£3.5k max) so greeness is expected but I would like something fairly sane! Can I get what I want for this money or do I need to do some more saving??

In or around Oxfordshire and surrounding counties. Within 1.5 hours of Wheatley (OX33)

Thanks!

well i've been looking (not even within your search area, as i'm rubbish with english geography

) and i think you need to save some more.
if you were looking for something with the 'potential' to do all of the above, then £3,500 would buy it. or if you were to go for an older horse rather than a younger 1.
this is just an opinion based on what i'm seeing when trying to find a horse that you describe.
most are 5-6 k plus.

Hi you are looking for exactly what Im wanting really but my bidget was £4500 and I am saving until spring becsue you just cannot get that horse for that price Im afraid. If you do then you have got a bargain!!

Had a look but cant find much in your area

This is what i found:

TB gelding, right area, good on content, good on price, on the larger end of the scale and not the breed you wanted

ISH gelding, wrong area- bit further over, higher end of price, good on content, and a little taller than wanted

IDX gelding, wrong area, higher end but not bad price wise, good on content, higher end of height

I think it might be a case of just trying what you can and making a compromise somewhere. Good luck, hope i vaguely helped

Good luck with your search

Hi everyone thanks for your suggestions.

Wild_Spirit I can't see the 2nd horse that you suggest. For some reason it just goes to the homepage. I've come accross the 3rd one and he was on my list of ones to call. Have looked at the first one too but have to say I wasn't sure about him for some reason.

I think extreme saving is called for!!! I only sold my boy on Saturday and it's sooooo hard not having a horse. Don't know what I'm going to do with myself for the next few months.
