OK, am looking for the impossible I think.

Potential young sports horse for dressage and eventing -

Gelding only
4-7 years
Good mover
Good looking
can be green if showing excellent paces and loose jump

Am looking to pay about £5k'ish - not huge budget but am serious buyer with nothing to sell and know exactly what I am looking for.

Am looking to buy the horse to be ridden and competed, hence low budget.

Ideally suited to someone who wants a quick and hassle free sale, as don't need to keep ging backwards and forwards, we will know straight away.

so... the powers of Horse and Hound.... find me a horse

double ooops - would prefer warmblood type especially with movement...... told you it was going to prove impossible!

Really didn't want a mare... have seen tons of mares advertised and friend has one for sale but if it doesn't make the grade we want and we have to sell a mare is harder to sell..... sexist I know!

Distance isn't to much of a problem - NOT scotland though! will travel for the right horse.

Just had a stunning grey 4yo vetted and it failed flexions on a nasty rub/cut and also a mysterious lump looking nodule/sarcoidy thing on its hock.... so that's on hold while it comes sound enough to re-evaluate. so looking again.

I always said I'd never have another mare - regretting that decision now as I have a talented 9yr old gelding who can no longer compete due to injury. At least if he was a mare I could breed from him rather than just watch him amble round the field happily!

Got Ru from here:

http://www.danishhorses.com/

(Also JoBo's Bodey came from here and mum's Badger and our old ned blackie). He's got lots so you can see plenty in one place, he's honest but won't beat about the bush. you also won't find them parading about in pretty white bandages but they show themselves off when loose schooled and jumped. If you tell him what you want he'll tell you what he's got to suit, he knows his horses well.

Most of his horse are 3-4yrs, prices start around 4k although majority around 6k. Most are geldings. heights from about 15.2hh upwards. All are well bred. Sells both for dressage and jumping.

Ignore the for sale bit on his website though he never updates it, my friend bought red who is advertised on there about 2 years ago!!!

Thanks for that.... smart horses and worth a visit I think. Shame about website not being up to date. I like to look at potential horses first :-)

I don't know what he has at the mo but i can send you the pics of the horses i saw and their approx prices so you get an idea of the range he has. He had about 10 that he showed me that he thought would fit the bill for me.
