I really need some new everyday breeches but am so picky! Can anyone help with my very specific requirements, please?
- Need to be soft / jerseyish, rather than that sheeny, stiffer, more expensive fabric
- Preferably would like ‘jean style’ front pockets and / or back pockets
- Preferably with those thin, stretchy ankle bits, rather than Velcro

Am I fighting a losing battle with this?
Am I the only one with such picky requirements?

If you can get your hands on this brand, I can really recommend the FairPlay breeches - I have their "Jenny" model and another older one, and they're everything that you describe + hold up really good to wear and tear.

I find breeches annoyingly uncomfortable, like wearing compression bandages around my calves and hate it when they keep needing to be pulled up all the time.
Riding tights are brilliant, but for everyday breeches, my best buy was a pair of navy Tredstep ( might be Symphony Rosa ).
They have the stretchy ankles and although they do have a slight sheen, they're very comfortable when worn all day. It's a simple design, no bling and I think they are quite flattering.

Have to agree with the above. My Noble Outfitters riding tights are great, very comfortable and very flattering.

I've got a pair of Dublin warm it breeches which I love for winter riding so I'm very interested in the summer cool it version.

Thanks. Off for a Google search now...

I have considered riding tights in the past but just have a few reservations in terms of how durable they’ll be and also whether you end up with a knicker line!

Mine have lasted really well and I don't find them any different knicker line wise to breeches. They are so much more comfortable than breeches but are still supportive and flattering.
