The ones that slow down a dogs eating, I have found this one with raised knobs in it:D
http://www.amazon.com/Brake-Fast-Food-Slow-Feed-Bowl/dp/B000PE30MQ
I have seen a one which looks more like loads of little compartments, like craters in it:confused: I cannot remeber where I saw it (maybe on here) as a link.

It is for a fast eating rescue dog who is rather clever at lifting large stones and kongs from his bowls and tossing them out:rolleyes:
So when he is homed I really would like him to go with one of the bowls I am on about.
At present I am using a massively wide bowl to spread the food (but it s a big bowl) and I would prefer something smaller.

Thankyou to all those who are better internet searcherers than me:o:D

That one looks better qaulity than the one I found, so it may be that one I have to get and may have seen (I may have made the other bowl up):o I thought it's humps where more inverted than protruding knobs:o:D
Maybe im just have knobs on the brain:o:eek:

Thankyou BC

I just know you have that fish4dogs in your favourites:D:p

Darcy is such a greedy girl and would hoover her food up, fearing she would have bloat I investigated those bowls.Being a tight arse Ive discovered a better way, I just throw it on the lawn, if the lawn needs cutting she is out there for ages but even when short she spends a long time searching out every bit of kibble.Wind, rain or shine she dosnt mind and I know she is eating it properly

Lol DG, I was doing that, just chucking it on the tiles on doggy room room, it's just don't think other people would do that if I home him, you have to give instruction to the latter;) and he is def a bloat candidate, hence me taking no risks:)

Lots of pictures of food bowls to slow eating down. Hopefully one will match what you're looking for:p http://www.google.co.uk/search?tbm=....22.22.0.7.7.0.153.1292.13j2.15.0.3DUEuY_Xrc4

I like the look of the maze one

Lol, from the very limited choice;) I certainly can get one of those....still the one I dreampt in my mind ain't there) never the mind, i really did make it up:o or maybe I should invent it me sell:D
The maze one:eek: I am now off the write the word "food" in some dog food:D

Aah I dont blame you then, if its raining they wouldnt want to put him out.

I just think it slows them down that much more than those bowls, I would have bought one if I thought it was better, plus when they do that in zoos its called enrichment and I just wanted to put a bit of enrichment in Darcys life.:D

lol....i prefer that method too and as you say, it's cheaper!:D

I've got the brakefast bowl (the 1st one you linked)

Had it 2 years and still good as new if you're worried about quality. Does it's job too!!!

One of my young terriers bolts his food, i found a horse treat ball works brilliantly!!! Keeps him thinking and entertained and if you have horses?? its probably something you already have so quality product and no expensive outlay. :D

I use the two litre bottles that thin bleach comes in. They rinse out easily and are safe if you remove them before the dog starts chewing hard on them.

Make sure they are really dry -put the food in and put them on the floor for the dog to spin the food out. Like a treat ball but doesn't roll as far.

That is a fab idea:eek::) thankin you s4s and its cheap:) so DG will use that method too.....like maureen 212 (she's cheap you know):D:D:D

Could you try making a cheapo home version first somehow? I bought one for mine & he just flipped it in frustration. Ended up using 2 child size plastic rolling pins in a cross shape jammed into a bowl so he had to eat from the four quarters, & spend ages getting bits from the corners.

You have not seen by (blue peter skills) they are crap as hell...maybe OH could, he is more "practical":o:D

I got mine from Chemist Direct - possibly one of the best buys ever! My dog is a choc labrador so is prone to twisted stomach. It can take the dog a while too get used to it and i did get some funny looks off him as if to say "mummy, wheres my old bowl gone? I liked my old one better!" lol :p

its not exactly going to break the bank either!

Thanks I now have a fair few suggestioNs and decided I am going To try Them all and see what works best because I have never ever seen a dog shovel food down as fast as this (it's ridiculous)
