Help me get some motivation to ride! :(

starry94 hope all is going ok with you, I did a little schooling this morning in the field and he was not impressed to be honest so will stick to hacking for a week or two. Don't think he is fit enough to school perhaps.

My home msde RS-tor has helped me twice now. My pony spooked and shied, me and pony parted company but the strap took the force out of the fall and I had a very light landing, and yesterday he had a panic and did a 180 degree turn and sped off, I stayed with him and we stopped after a few strides and still stayed on. Very pleased with it now it has been put to the test.

I feel exactly the same at the moment. Haven't ridden for a week and have no desire to. I feel really guilty!

Hi Misty 05, I think your home made RS-Tor is better than the real thing, I fell off my young cob yesterday for the first time, and mine didn`t help at all! He does a rather spectaculor spin, sags at all corners, drops his shoulder and spins and gallops off all in a split second! I`ve watched him do this many times in his field and rather thought I`d never stay on him. The reason for this? The cattle that he has grazed within inches of for the last 5 months had been moved to a different field, apparantly that makes them extremely dangerous!

Shame really, I`m far too old to risk riding him again, so will have to try and sell him to someone to re-start, I`m just too nervous of him to ride him as often as ayoung horse should be ridden, although just recently I`d been riding him much more often and had started to feel much more confident, sod`s law!
