Minimum requirements;
3 good sized bedrooms
Bathroom upstairs plus a WC downstairs.
Minimum 6 acres
30 mile commute to Bristol
Good outriding without having to box up.
We are in a position to move NOW - house sold, no chain, cash in the bank!!!!
Budget £550000, please be my own personal Kirsty and Phil, I'm losing the will to live x

In May 2012, planning permission was granted for the removal of the existing temporary mobile home and for the erection of a new dwelling (application ref: W/12/00528/ful).

The permission equates to the erection of a single storey 3 bedroom dwelling with attic rooms and separate garden and parking to that property described in Lot 1. Upon completion of construction of the new dwelling, the temporary mobile home is to be removed in full from the site. The existing caravan is not included within the sale and will be removed from site upon completion of the sale.

You could have one by the end of the year:D

Can't you opt for Kevin Mcloud instead of Kirsty & Phil ? I would love that property Dee O'Dorant!
Potential and an income!

The house is just for me and my husband - our forever home. Although the property with planning could be lovely, I'm not interested in having a livery yard - just my own horses. Wales is problematic and expensive to commute - bridge tolls each day. We looked at the house in a lydney - lovely but the land is not suitable for horses - goats maybe lol! I don't want much do I?

http://www.ruralscene.co.uk/details/4492_JN905F.pdf is this any good? :) xx

35 miles away from bristol .. so just over what you wanted, and i have no idea if there is a dowstairs loo ..

but i will keep looking for you .. i love house hunting :D xx

p.s i know its over budget, but it doesn't seem to stop kirsty and phil ..or a place in the country .. some amazingly cheeky offers get accepted ;)

I found a house that was under offer through Ruralscene. They put my name on the file in case it fell through. I rang every couple of weeks to check and even then when the sale fell through they failed to contact me. Fortunately I spotted it back on the website and managed to get an offer in before anyone else. If you really like that house I would check with them and check their website every week until it is sold. I waited 6 months in case the sale fell through on our house and I'm so glad we did as we've now got our dream home. Good luck.

ok this one is a long term project but has lots of land and is 21 miles from Bristol. If you got it at the right price you could do quite a bit of work on it

This one might be too sandwiched by main roads but worth a look at the details

This one only has 4.2 acres but you might want to consider it as it is very nice/potential

This one is a bargain (big time) and has 8 acres but there are some covenants which would basically mean without agreement you couldnt extend or build more facilities - however there are 3 stables already and agreements have been made in the past - so worth glancing at

enjoy!

Actually register with all the agents and keep pestering them. There is lots that gets sold off the open market.
A few more possibilities - not looked in detail but have the land.

Further than you want but a quick run up the M5 to Bristol and I think you will struggle to get as close as you want with your budget. Also part of a larger farm so may be able to get more land

Lucky you - wish I had 550 K to spend - you will def need all of that in this area.

I'm no good at posting links, but check out Greenslade Taylor Hunt website www.gth.net
. One of the best in this area for properties with land.

They have a nice looking 3 bed cottage in Banwell (near Weston) for £550,000. Reference no: BUR120313. 5 acres and stable block.

We live on the Quantocks and the hacking up here is great, but probably a bit far from Bristol. And £550,000 would not go far up here :(.
