So, I've come to the conclusion that I'm having the mick taken out of me at my current yard. I'm just not happy there anymore, which is utterly heart breaking as I've been there since I was 9 (23 now). I don't really want to go into detail, but I'm looking for somewhere else.

In the Milton Keynes area, as close to Newport Pagnell as possible. DIY or part livery preferred. Also, MUST have good fencing :P

I don't want to go to - Lakes Lane or Loughton.
 
Oh dear - that's a shame.

How far out of Pagnell would you go? I know there are a couple of places closer to Stony but that may be too far for you.
 
What about Cranfield, I used to be on a very quiet yard there. Very, very basic but a half useable school and a lot of decent hacking after five mins on the road...

I could try and find out if there's a stable?

I was thinking about that actually, a friend moved there not too long ago, I'll give her a bell now! Thanks :D

She's been there about a year, has two horses (welsh mare and an ex racer gelding) and did stay at another yard in Cranfield previously :)

The only one I can think of who has the ex racer gelding was a couple of barns down from us... Can't remember his name though - I am thinking Pedro rings a bell?
 
Ahhhh yes, Pablo! Is she back at Cranners or did you go to look at the big yard in Wootton? I think that is where she is? I have just got back from there, went over to visit a friend and see her youngster. Yard manager is fabby, always lots to do, they seem like a really friendly bunch and my very good friend is wonderful! Stable next to her is empty ;)

It is lovely, my friend who is there was with me at Cranfield but i moved house so went to the other end of the town and she went there with her youngster. It is really great for her boy as lots to do and see but it would be Olive's worst nightmare. She is nervous around others and much prefers a smaller yard. Oooh exciting, YO is very accommodating and yes, it is cheap!
 
I do wonder what Ned would think, he's been on a nice small yard for years now! Though it's small, it can be REALLY busy and he seems to like that!
Friend with Pablo used to be on my current yard (before she got him and just had Bella) but she moved. I always loved hanging out with her and her horses, so it'd be nice to see more of her again :)
 
Well the place comes highly recommended by three people I know there. I didn't really know Pedro's mum, only to wave morning to or to speak to briefly as we passed on ponies as she left very soon after I arrived in Cranners. She needed more hacking buddies as it was too quiet I think. Well, keep us posted and I may well see you around if you make the move!
 
I cant help with the yard but I do think this will be good for you. You rode Ned for years as a riding school/borrowed horse I think it would be great for you to be seen as a horse owner in your own right and move on :)
 
Will do! I'm still looking at other places, but really, I doubt I'll find much better!
I was looking at one in Wicken, but at £300 a month (part livery) I couldn't afford that unless I got a better job! It looks a-maz-ing at that yard though!

This is what I'm thinking, I still feel like I'm part of the riding school as I do exactly as I did before, I simply have to pay for more and have more say in what Ned does! I do love it there, it's so friendly and lovely and I feel like I have to be loyal, but I don't know, it's just not the same without YO there! I miss her more than I thought I would!
