I've put it in CR last night, got some response about price, but not much on the compose an ad front... so, New Loungers, help me out a bit

OK, so it is a how much, I do apologise in advance

I am ever so grumpy/mardy/tired/fed up today that I can't think. Have been put under orders to sell one of my horses, which I know is right and I have been saying myself that I don't really want to keep her etc, but she is a bit of a special one and I can't detach myself emotionally therefore struggle with add/price.
So, you good people, if you could compose me a nice add and suggest some prices I would be eternally grateful

Vital statistics and few photos below:

5 yo Polish Warmblood filly (3/4 TB), approx 15.2hh. Out of a grade A mare by advanced event stallion. Backed, brought on, hacking away and popping little jumps happily. Has plenty of scope and is very brave. Moves like a dream and has super temperament, the moment you get on her nothing else interests her, no distractions, spooks, naughtiness just work.
Takes time to load but travels well. Goes in water, calm in traffic, will lead a hack and 'babysit' older horses!

sorry, no decent jumping pictures... as groom has pointed out, she is not planning a career in photography

I would use pictures 1,2 and 5, and try to get a better picture of jumping, or a video

i see nothing wrong with; "5 yo Polish Warmblood filly (3/4 TB), approx 15.2hh. Out of a grade A mare by advanced event stallion. Backed, brought on, hacking away and popping little jumps happily. plus the slightly more complementary
"Happily goes into water, and can be a good confidence giver for other horses. She will happily lead a hack, and is calm with traffic. She has been shown in hand (Any good results to mention?) as a youngster, and was confident, calm and well mannered.
"Needs patience while loading, but travels very well in both trailers and lorries. A very sweet mare with an amiable personality. Has had no vetenary issues or blemishes, and has very good feet, both barefoot and shod. "

Haha, yes, the jump picture is absolutely dire... It is a bit tricky if you don't have a decent camera and photographer, as obviously I don't want to jump a youngster again and again and again just to get a good shot.
She has been shown in hand a few times, always placed. Has been to a clear round or two and jumped some XC fences, done a couple of small DR shows as well - so not as green as it might sound, but I don't really want to sell her to somebody clueless IYKWIM...
Oh, dilemmas, dilemmas...

Im not clueless, i have no money but can offer a good home?!!!

I would offer you my 'experienced' girl in exchange, but i couldnt part with her now! I have two kittens.... would that work?! They are cheaper to keep than horses??!! xx

No idea on price I'm afraid. Who are here parents? That might help.

Sorry, I wouldn't use any of those photos.

The dam is my int grade A mare by Juror/Saragan/Sicambre out of Schagya mare
The sire is performance test winner Zar by OrangeBay out of hann mare my Feiertraum/Senior

the dam is graded elite, the stallion graded gold elite (sadly no longer with us, his career cut short by a tragic accident)

get a pic of her jumping bigger as i assume you are aiming her at the event/sj market???? i would want to see a 5 year old popping a reasonable spread , at 15.2hh could always aim her at the straight off ponies onto horses market if she is quiet enough (which she seems) ????? put that she is safe to hack on her own etc as i find thats important and that she loads into a trailer/lorry fine??? and is ok with the farrier??
as for price there are alot of 5 year old with BN/disc/new rounds under there belt and been round intros and she is only 15.2hh so i would say 4k is the very top you could get maybe 3.5k and take slightly less saying that she looks super and well mannered with a nice attitude so i really hope you find her a super home
best of luck

I think she's lovely and just the sort I wanted when I was looking. All round smart, unspoiled young horse that hacks well. She's what loads of people want. I'd try to fix the loading issue and get her going straight on before you advertise her. Then £5 - £6k if she's got decent conformation and no soundness or health issues.

Yes, there are a lot of 5yos jumping BN/Disc/NC... I'm not that sure TBH if it is a good thing though
crazy.gif

Anyway, a nice teenager market is a maybe.
She is good with farrier and travels well, but as I said takes her time to load.
As to the market... SJ/Event or possibly showing market, although she moves well enough for pure DR

sorry hun, don't like any of those piccies

though she is a lovely looking lass - if i were looking now for daughter then she is the kind she'd like.

i'd say £5k if you wanted a quickish sale.

hugs hun. i know how you feel - i'm still battling on the LL front.

Thanks MrsM, it is a rather tricky situation

But, one has to battle on.
Pictures are a bit cr@p and I wasn't going to use them in an ad anyway, just put them up to give an idea what we are looking at

I think you should buy her for your daughter

I agree with Quadro for a 5 year old you still want to see her being able to cover a 1m spread at least, i understand that the polish w/b do mature much later but skeletaly she should have the strength to manage that with ease. Also what class would you be looking at for the showing direction as it doesnt jump straight out at me for which one she would fit into. Maybe stick with great allrounder for the moment untill she has got a few more consecutive shows under her belt. You can still get a good price for an allrounder as there are plenty of people out there looking for them and she is a good looking mare. Personally with the photos you've shown you can advertise her for more than 4 and that is being generous in this climate. Deffinatly need a photo from the side of her naked and standing square to see conformation as for showing or similar you would be looking at that first. Its a difficult market out there unless you have something really well bred or proven. Good luck
