Now i am really useless at this, but i need to put together some information about my horse, now i know, no one else knows my horse but i am rubbish at putting all the words cleverly/witty together on paper.
Only needs to be about 50 words!!!!!!!

So if i give you a small introduction, see what you clever lot can do

10 years old, owned from youngster
Andalucian
excitable, cheeky character
loves to show off
loves to please
does not like to be clean and yes she is grey

hope you can help

Hmm, more information please.

What is this for? What will the horse be doing whilst it's being read? Are you supposed to include breeding, competition level, past accomplishments etc?

Having been one of the assistants in the commentary box at BE horse trials a couple of times, the commentators HATE it if there is a load of what they describe as meaningless drivel there. (You'd blush at some of the comments I heard...)

Horses prior competition record, any points
Any other significant achievements, if it has changed "career"
if it is just coming back into work after injury,
Horses owner if it is not you.
Breeding
Maybe your everyday job

If you put down you want to thank your parents, your OH and how much you love them etc etc, that will produce snorts of derision from the commentators and definitely won't get read out!

The 50 words is not mandatory, that's more for the really serious competitors who have a massive competition record to fit in.

I would definitely agree with the above for competition - just the facts ma'am.

If it's long winded or full of fluff they won't read it anyway and fair enough, as they might have hundreds to read through in a day!

But if it's for some sort of display or open day or some such then a little more "general interest" info might be called for. Even so, I'd go for simple and not silly - perhaps a bit on the breed or maybe, if it's a non-horsey crowd, a few fun facts like "favourite foods" or something.
