I'm in need (or is it want?) of a bridle. Cavesson or flash, black, cob size with padded, ergonomically shaped headpiece and the noseband threaded through the top. It's for a horse with very sensitive ears :)
All suggestions welcome and appreciated, ta.

ebay seller jayj321.123, j barclay bridle i bought one last week and am very impressed with the quality and price.

they come up big though, my mare is usually a full size and i ended up getting a cob and it is plenty big enough for her

Nannon, thanks, worth looking at, do you happen to know if the headpiece is cut away around the ears?
Jools - I saw those, as nice looking as they are, my super fine headed TB would look rather ridiculous, which is a shame, because they seem to be lovely bridles :o

I have a cob sized headpiece which has cut out sections behind the ears and is nicely padded over poll. Had it made. The noseband buckles on both sides (like albion kb and Jeffries ir). It needs a new home if you are interested martlin as I've just bought the same in full for my baby's ever growing head. You can buy whatever noseband you like for it from evison for £44. If your not interested, evison bridles would be my next choice.

ah yes the design is more suited to the big heads like my mare, the seller does have other bridles for sale so may be worth contacting her i found her very helpful

I have cheeks and browband, but have kept all my nosebands with buckles either side. But if you can get a noseband for £44, it'd still be cheaper than trying to find a whole bridle as cut out headpieces are a nightmare to find. Here it is, a bit dirty, but you can see the cut out bits -

Impossible to tell from the photos, isn't it? :o Oh, how I wish there was somewhere locally to go and actually touch a real life bridle *sigh*

Yes, I think I got the idea from whoever it was that had just got one that the headpiece was shaped. Just can't remember who it was:o

Wouldn't it be great to go in to a tack shop and be able to view/handle a large range

I think I see a business opportunity, :D Much as I love a bit of Interweb shopping it is nice to go and browse

Exactly! As it turns out, my saddler friend can make me exactly what I want... Now, why didn't I think of that in the first place?
